What is the format of the GT5 Prologue Challenge?
To be eligible for the Grand Final in Dubai, you must first win your regional heat by recording the fastest lap time using the Nissan G35 GT-R '07 on the Eiger Nordwand track. If you are successful, we will notify you and invite you to Dubai for the Grand Final on Sat 19th July. If you are unable to attend, we will contact the next fastest contestant.
What exactly does the prize include?
Each regional heat winner will be flown economy class to Dubai along with a companion for the Grand Final. The winner and their companion will be given 2 nights full board in a minimum 4* hotel. All transfers and meals are included. Travel insurance, local visas and other expenses are at the winner's expense.
The winner of the Grand Final will win a trip to Japan for 3 nights in a 5 Star hotel with a friend on return business class flights from country of residence to Tokyo. In addition, the prize includes: test driving the Nissan GT-R. All transfers and meals are included. Travel insurance, local visas and other expenses are at the winner's expense.
Do I need to pre-register to enter?
No. But to avoid the likely queues, it is advisable to pre-register on www.gt5prologuechallengeme.com.
How many times can I enter?
You can enter the GT5 Prologue Challenge as many times as you like. But you can only enter once using your pre-registration.
Can enter different events e.g. can I enter the events in both Riyadh and Jeddah?
Yes.
How I do find the Nissan G35 GT-R '07 car on GT5 Prologue?
You will need to earn enough credits (Cr 77,700) to buy the Nissan G35 GT-R '07.
Can I change the settings of the car?
The only settings change permitted is to move the car from automatic to manual gears. No other changes are permitted.
Can I use a different car?
No. You must use the Nissan G35 GT-R '07.
Can I use the SIXAXIS or Dual Shock 3 controller instead of the Logitech Driving Force™ GT Wheel?
Yes. Please advise the promoters when you arrive, as there will be a dedicated pod for those wishing to use the SIX AXIS or Dual Shock 3 controller
How many laps can I drive?
Each contestant is permitted to drive a maximum of 3 laps. After the 3rd lap you will be asked to stop driving and the promoter will note your best lap time as indicated on the screen.
What happens if I incur a penalty?
Laps with penalties do not count. This is indicated by the lap timing appearing in red. You will need to complete a lap without incurring any penalties for your time to be considered.
What happens if I incur a penalty on every lap?
Then your session is void. You will need to complete another session.
What age do I need to be?
You can be any age to enter the GT5 Prologue Challenge. However, you will need to be a minimum of 18 years of age and hold a valid driving license to drive the Nissan GT-R. If under 18 years of age and/or do not hold a valid driving license, your companion will need to be a minimum of 18 years old and hold a valid driving license.
